Dai Forni… A romantic view with an authentic Italian taste.

Here we are at “Dai Forni”, this amazing Italian restaurant located on the incredible rooftop of the new Four Seasons Hotel in Kuwait City. The place that has a magnificent view would be the best for a post-engagement dinner for a new couple meeting for a romantic delicious meal, and we were not wrong. The high view overlooking one of Kuwait’s most famous residential areas bright and shine at night, quiet and calm during the day, is the first warm welcome you get when you enter the restaurant.

On our table next to the window, we found a bouquet of yellow peppers, a basket of freshly baked bread and a long list of amazing dishes prepared by the Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Kuwait, Sebastiano Spriveri. “The list includes dishes that reflect the Italian taste concept with fresh ingredients and authentic technique, said Chef Sebastiano, who seemed confident and proud of his choices. Here I offer to the connoisseurs the best of my Italian experience, the right ingredients in the right dishes. I know how much Kuwaiti people have taste and expertise in everything related to the international cuisine, but I really hope they visit “Dai Forni” and allow me to offer them food as it is: with special oils for each pizza, fresh mozzarella and black truffle. Our restaurant is a window on the Italian cuisine with some modern touches specifically created for Kuwait”.

“Dai Forni” means “from the oven’ and that is exactly what the connoisseurs will get. There are three open corners in the restaurant enabling the visitor to see his food being prepared in front of his eyes. The antipasti station, the pizza brass ovens, and the small dishes station. The main dishes are prepared in the internal cuisine, where the amazing Chef Sebastiano personally supervises each dish. There are also some special dishes that the chef brings to the visitors’ table: he personally cuts off for them freshly baked fish or offers them authentic homemade lasagna. The approach here depends on sharing, tasting, and conversing quietly with a lifetime partner or friends.

The evening starts with salads that have a complex taste despite their simple ingredients.

The fresh Kalamar was one of the best at all, with a variety of quiet flavors with lemon and herbs. And because the cheeses come directly from there, one should definitely try the fresh mozzarella salad with tomatoes and basil. As for the Carpaccio, the fine Cuban meat with black truffle paste, it certainly deserves the try.

The pizza is light and the tomato sauce used has a natural herbal flavor. The chef also offers another kind of pizza: crispy pastry dough with basil pesto, olives and hot cherry tomato sauce. And because the restaurant is Italian-style, the Mushroom Risotto should be tasted, as well as the homemade lasagna, and finally the baked white fish dish with vegetables that the chef serves next to the table.

The experience at Dai Forni is rare and wonderful, and the restaurant can be considered one of the Fine Dining restaurants in Kuwait. All you have to do is book a table, and dress up to enjoy a magical evening with your partner between flavor and taste.
