Beauty & The Beach

When it comes to going to the beach or spending a summer vacation, simplicity is required. In this burning desert climate, make-up can make you look tired, but don’t worry we’re always looking for the best beauty details that concern you, even those specially designed for the beach.

Here are the products that I recommend you to use when you are on the beach:

  1. Sunscreen with UVB and UVA

When it comes to sun protection cream, make sure UVB and UVA are present on the label; UVB are burning rays mostly associated with sunburn. UVA are long ultraviolet rays or black light that can penetrate glass and clouds, causing premature aging and wrinkles, and damaging your collagen and elastin. Terrifying right? I would recommend here Vichy Dry Touch SPF 50 and La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 because both are non-scented, soft, oil-free and translucent.

  1. Makeup products

BB Cream

Nothing looks better than moisturized and wrinkle-free skin. BB creams contain antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients, such as vitamins E, C & A. I love Benefit BigEasy Bigger Than BB SPF 35 Oil-Free Cream and Bassam Fattouh BB Cream.

  1. Foundation

Personally, I do not use foundation on the beach, but for those who do, the first product that comes to my mind is the Water BlendFoundation from Make Up For Ever … it has a light texture, waterproof and provides good coverage.

  1. Concealer

In order to hide aging signs and dark spots, and reduce eye bags, pigmentation marks and pimples you need to use a concealer cream.

I would recommend Dior Star Concealer which has a soft touch that blends easily. In my opinion, it provides a natural coverage with its non- sticky texture.

  1. Cheek powder and lipstick

“One Gift, beauty rare. Gold of sunshine in her hair.” Lips that shame the red, red, rose ”

-Sleeping Beauty-

Do you remember when Aurora fell in her deep sleep? I bet she was using KIKO Long Lasting Color Lip Marker in the shade 105 that gives the lips a natural color effect and lasts for a long time. There is also Dior Lip Glow 001 that gently moisturizes and dyes your lips with a beautiful shade of pink.

If you want to kill two birds with one stone, you just have to use BenefitPosie and Benefit Cha Cha cheek or Guerlain Lip and Cheek Tint.

  1. Colored eye pencil

Hey, being on the beach does not mean that your eyes should be left without any makeup on, give them a distinctive look with the brown or turquoise eye pen as they complement your look in a natural and precise way. Try Aqua Eyeliner no.16 (Brown) from Make Up For Ever or Maybelline Colossal Turquoise.

  1. Mascara

I know it’s scary to get to the beach with long and beautiful lashes and once you put your head under the water your eyes become like those of the panda. No one wants mascara dripping at 37 degrees. You’ll need here waterproof mascara. Try Volume 1 Mascara from Bourjois.

  1. Eyebrows

I always wondered why people say “trendy eyebrows”? That’s because they have to be trendy… No, I’m serious. I am one of those persons who have an idea about ideal eyebrows and I hate products that fade and dissolve under the heat. That’s why I use the Aqua Brow Kit from Make Up For Ever to fill the eyebrow, and it’s waterproof.

  1. The setting spray

Keep your makeup gracious and your skin moisturized with spray. Try Vichy Thermal Spa Water and Evian Facial Spray to keep your skin moisturized, soft, healthy and young.
