When did your passion for makeup start?
I discovered my talent at the age of 14; I had great interest in makeup. I began to develop my talent at 18 after noticing my colleagues and friends’ admiration for the way I put makeup. And with the encouragement of my family, I began to receive clients in my salon. Two years after that, I joined specialized makeup course in the United States.
Who is your favorite beauty expert in the world?
Kandee Johnson and Ariel Tejada.
How do you define beauty?
Simplicity and moderation in everything and in the colors; blending shades, looks and clothes. I really think that simplicity is the secret to beauty.
Who was your childhood beauty icon?
The Mexican singer and actress Thalía; I used to see her as a mix between softness and beauty. I admired her hair color and earthy makeup, in addition to the color of her skin since I love olive-colored skin.
Who is your contemporary beauty icon?
Nadine Njeim is a Lebanese beauty queen who was crowned Miss Lebanon 2004. I see in her the meaning of integrated beauty. I admire her professional makeup and color selection that suits her perfectly.
Who is your ideal Kuwaiti makeup artist?
Hanan Dashti. I like her character and commitment to success and development, as she has established a cosmetic brand in her name.
How often you visit makeup stores?
I do not have a specific frequency. My visits are based on my needs or to buy a new product.
How do you know about new cosmetic products in the market?
Through my continuous visits to the makeup stores. I also follow the pages of global brands and beauty experts on social media.
Is there a cosmetic trend you wish would end as soon as possible?
Exaggerated contouring. To avoid this, I recommend always using powder contour as a substitute for cream. Also drawing eyebrows too square and specific. I recommend drawing eyebrows in a natural shape without adding geometric styles.

Drawing eyebrows in a natural way.
What do you use to highlight your eyebrows?
My first choice is eyebrow shadow for a natural look. I recommend Bobbi Brown Eyebrow Shadow No.10 Mahogany. My second choice is MAC Eye Brows Spiked.
Which is the best foundation in your opinion?
For everyday use, L’Oréal True Match foundation and Bourjois Air Mat Foundation. NARS for special occasions, but the best are Dolce&Gabbana and Kryolan.

Three principles you recommend for fabulous makeup:
- It’s important to prepare skin before makeup by using a good moisturizer on the face and lips, and then using a suitable primer for specific skin types.
- Spread the foundation on the face and the concealer under the eye then blend. Use loose powder to fix the foundation.
- Use illumination in the areas that you would like to highlight, then use apricot or rose powder.
